About the publication

For some years now, it has been high political priority in Denmark to strengthen industry-science interaction. Unfortunately, in Denmark high scientific productivity is not matched by high level of research-based, innovative start-ups.

Previous policy reforms to improve commercialisation of research results have not yet had the desired effects. The fundamental policy question that defined the present research was how to promote university interaction with industry, by reforming the formal framework for such interaction.

The present report consist of three country studies, including three university case studies. Interviews have been carried out at two levels: at the national policy level, and at university level.
