About the publication
The Analysis of The Danish Agency for Trade and Industry Women Entrepreneurs now and in the Future.
Generally, women entrepreneurs have business plans, knowledge of the trade and management competence on a level with male entrepreneurs. And it does not seem as if the banks lose more money on women entrepreneurs than on male entrepreneurs.
But the choice of line influences the women's chance of obtaining financing for setting up their own enterprise. Women often choose lines of business that are less attractive to the banks for investment. Furthermore, women are less ambitious regarding the expansion and profits of the enterprise than men are, which also influences the financial advisers' evaluation of the loan applications.
