About the publication
Initiatives in education policy are to be initiated which will ensure a significant increase in the enrolment of students within the field of information technology (IT). Wide selections of research-based higher education programmes are to be developed. These are the recommendations in this report from The Committee for Promotion of IT Research and Education.
Furthermore the Committee recommends that an independent IT-faculty be establish in the Copenhagen area as part of an existing institution under the University Act, but with a separate board. In continuation of such an initiative a promotion of IT Research and Education is also to be initiated in west Denmark. The Committee therefore recommends establishing an IT institution in west Denmark.
