Danish universities must produce more entrepreneurs
Denmark's prosperity and competitiveness relies on our ability to educate future entrepreneurs. Science Minister Charlotte Sahl-Madsen has therefore invited rectors and pro-rectors from universities around the country on a tour to UC Berkeley and Stanford University in California.
– We must learn from the best, and the universities at Berkley and Stanford are among the best in the world for producing new entrepreneurs, says Science Minister Charlotte Sahl-Madsen.
The minister will undertake the tour to California from June 26th to 30th. During the visit, the Danish university representatives will meet with representatives from BASES– a Stanford student association devoted to entrepreneurship. There will also be a presentation with some of Silicon Valley's leading entrepreneurs, including Vinod Khosla and Steve Blank.
– I am certain that everyone will return from the trip inspired as to how we can sharpen focus at Danish universities on entrepreneurship and innovation. It is crucial to us in creating future growth and jobs, says Science Minister Charlotte Sahl-Madsen.
